Here is an image from an early OpenSolaris presentation I did in Beijing in September 2006. It was part of the old Sun Tech Days tour, which contained mostly Java content back then but we were starting to tag along with OpenSolaris. We had a lot to learn from the Java team and the Java community in those early days.

The room wasn’t blue, obviously. It was actually orange. But the image was really low quality and I didn’t like it. So I messed around with it. And blue it is. I give these photo edits I do very little thought. Whatever comes to mind at the moment, that’s what I go with. That was my favorite Sun shirt, btw. It’s filled with various FOSS projects at the time.

I miss going to China. I went there a lot. Every trip was an adventure. Given the state of the world, I doubt I’ll ever see China again.
