I have a lot of experience in getting rejected. I’m actually pretty good at it. A lot of practice. So, a lot of times people will say, oh man, you missed this. Yeah, you made a mistake. You should have done this. You should have done that. Oh man, that’s why you got rejected in this situation. You know, whatever.
Look, make the best decision you can with whatever circumstances you have in the moment. You get rejected, something doesn’t work out, take some notes, see what you can learn from it, you dust yourself off, dump it, you move on. It’s that simple.
The second half of this is also critical. What I’ve learned really most recently is that if you’re not looking for opportunities, you will not see them. This is a perception issue. This is a consciousness issue. You must assert the positive instead of focusing on the negative. So you’re looking to do something positive. You’re looking for those opportunities. You don’t look for them. You won’t see them. You lose. It’s that simple.
