Mentorship

It’s been years since I’ve had a really great mentor I could admire and tap for advice and guidance. I miss talking to someone honestly and working through nasty issues together without fear of judgement. Heck, I miss talking to someone who would actually listen! I got close a few years ago but unfortunately the team blew up and my perspective mentor left. I still consider him a friend but we’re not connected much at present other than seeing each other occasionally at random conferences. I guess I’d have to go way back to Solaris Engineering (2005-2016) when I was lucky enough to have had several outstanding mentors for many years. I made such progress back then. Will need to fix this bug because for years recently my progress has stalled and “hard work” isn’t cutting it. My standards are much higher.
